WEATHER GUIDELINES:
Students should be dressed appropriately for outside play in
most weather conditions. Coats, hats, gloves, and proper footwear should be
worn. Outer clothing that may be removed is essential so that students do not
have to have wet clothing in the classroom. On days when adverse conditions
prohibit outside play, we will have students inside the building before
school at approximately 8:30, during lunch recess, and afternoon recess. When
weather and conditions permit, students are expected to be outside until
escorted in by their teacher.
Typically we plan to have outside recess when the temperature is
about 20 degrees. We restrict outside play when we have heavy rain,
lightning, or strong winds. Sometimes we are advised to be inside due to low
air quality.
