| Alpine School District is pleased to announce the implementation of Family Access by Skyward, Inc. Family Access is a secure internet-based website that will allow you to easily keep track of your student's attendance and grades. Family Access will be provided by Alpine School District as a free service and will be available to all parents with children enrolled in the district.
All elementary schools will transition to Skyward during the 2009-2010 school year in one of four different groups to allow school communities to have more support and training while becoming familiar with the new student information system.
You can view the timeframe for when your school will move to Skyward by clicking on the link under Implementation Schedules. The implementation schedule lists the date Skyward will go live by school.
PowerSchool for elementary students will not be used this fall; instead, parents are encouraged to contact their teachers directly in order to receive grade and attendance information until your Skyward parent portal becomes available.
All secondary schools, including the new Westlake High School, will continue to use PowerSchool this year and will not move to Skyward until the 2010-2011 school year. Some secondary schools will be doing online registration for next school year through Skyward this spring--look for communication from your school or contact them for more information.
We are very excited about how Family Access will help you stay informed about your student's progress and hope that we can use this tool to create a stronger relationship between parents and our schools.
More information will be posted on this page as it becomes available and as schools transition to the new SIS system, so please check back from time to time. If you have any questions, please email skywardinfo@alpine.k12.ut.us. |
