Message from the President

Hello Parents and Teachers,

I am the new PTA President for the 2009-2010 school year. I just want to tell you a little about myself. My name is Amber Barnes. I am the mother of two beautiful girls that also attend Shelley. I work part time at the school and have got to know your children and I enjoy working with your children.

I want to thank last years President and Board for the great the great job they did last year. They worked hard during the construction of the new addition.

On behalf of all students at Shelley Elementary I send a big "Thank You!" for your involvement and devoted support of the PTA. Our children need you. And you are there. Thank you!

My personal dream is that every student at Shelley Elementary is not only represented by the collective body of PTA members, but also individually and personally by a parent or guardian in PTA. Can you imagine the value that 100% membership in PTA could bring to our school? Exciting thought! Just to inform you we still have many opportunities available to you to help out with up coming events. Contact the school for my information.

Whether you can volunteer thirty minutes or a hundred hours, your involvement makes a difference! The PTA is for our children. And you are the PTA. Thank you for being there!
